About Safe Harbor

Safe Harbor is a small, in-person peer support and emotional processing group created to offer a space for adults who want connection, reflection, and the experience of being heard, without judgment, without trying to be fixed, diagnosed, or rushed.

Safe Harbor was born out of a need for more connection and less isolation. The hope is that this would be a shared space for human connection.

This group is community-based and non-clinical. It is not therapy and should not be used as a substitute for crisis services.

What the group offers

  • A 90-minute weekly, facilitated group that runs on a 4-week cycle
  • A calm, structured space for sharing and listening
  • Peer support rooted in mutual respect and consent
  • Room to talk about grief, transition, stress, overwhelm, or everyday life
  • An affirming environment that welcomes LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent participants

What Safe Harbor is not

  • Not therapy
  • Not group counseling
  • Not crisis intervention or emergency support
  • Not a replacement for ongoing mental health care
  • Participants are encouraged to have additional supports in place as needed. If you are in immediate crisis or need urgent support, please call or text 988.

Who this space may be helpful for

Safe Harbor may be a good fit if you’re feeling emotionally overwhelmed, navigating change, experiencing grief or relational stress, or simply wanting a consistent place to process life with others in a supportive setting.

It may not be the right fit if you are seeking clinical treatment, diagnosis, or crisis stabilization.
